My Export Isn't Working – How to Fix It

Troubleshoot the most common reasons an export fails or doesn't work as expected in Zuuvi.

Export not working? Here are the most common reasons – and how to fix each one quickly.

❓ I can't find the Export button

Exporting is only possible from Creative Manager – not from Studio directly.

  • Make sure your template has been saved and published in Studio first.

  • Then go to Creative Manager → your Campaign → your Creative Set, and use the Export button from there.

❓ The export is rejected or fails when pushing to a DSP

Different platforms have different requirements. Common reasons for rejection:

  • Missing clicktag – DV360, Campaign Manager, and Adform require a clicktag. Make sure one is added in Studio before exporting. See how to add a clicktag.

  • File is too heavy – Most display platforms have a weight limit (typically 150 KB for non-hosted, up to 4 MB for Zuuvi-hosted). Check the Ad Weight tool in Studio or Manager. How to check your ad weight.

❓ My PNG or JPG export looks wrong or has missing transparency

A few common issues with static image exports:

  • PNG with a white background instead of transparent – It's not possible to export it without a background color.

  • JPG file saves as JFIF instead of JPG – This is a Chrome browser setting. Here's the quick fix.

  • Colours look different in the exported file – This is usually a browser rendering difference, or a Mac vs PC, not an export error. Try exporting in an Incognito window to rule out cache. If the colours are still off, reach out with your Creative Set ID.

❓ I need to export as GIF, but the option isn't there

GIF export is not available from the Export module in Creative Manager. It's not a feature we support.

❓ The exported file looks different from what I see in Creative Manager

This is almost always a browser cache issue. Your browser is showing an older version of the ad.

❓ The download starts but the file is empty or corrupted

  • Try the export again – this can sometimes be a temporary issue.

  • Make sure your browser isn't blocking downloads. Check your browser's download settings or try a different browser.

  • If it keeps happening, reach out in the chat with your Creative Set ID and we'll investigate.

❓ I exported but my ads aren't updating live

If your ads are hosted through Zuuvi, you don't need to re-export to update them – just click 'Publish' or 'Save and Publish' from the Creative Set in Creative Manager, and the live ads will update automatically (within ~20 minutes).

If your ads are not hosted through Zuuvi, you'll need to re-export, then remove the old version from your ad platform and upload the new one.

Still having trouble? Send us your Creative Set ID in the chat, and we'll help you out 😊
