A video ad is catchy to the eye and the performance is usually much better. You keep the users' attention longer, but how do you add text, a CTA button, and a key message to a video without overdoing it? I'll tell you 🤓

First things first; what kind of video is it?

Is it a branding video showing a specific product?

Then make it as simple as possible. Make the video speak for itself but remember; ALWAYS add your logo, otherwise, the users won’t have a chance to recognize your brand, which is essential.

CTA buttons can be a useful tool as well; anything from “Explore more” to “Buy now” can work - test it out!

If the video’s purpose is to capture the attention of the viewers and evoke a specific feeling or emotion, then it might be an idea to add more elements to the video, supporting this goal.

In the example below, I’ve experimented with the first word - one letter at a time, which fits well with the calm video. The colors match the video, but if you want to stand out you can go ahead and see how contrasting colors work out!
