Simply change between the Layer view or Timeline by using the shortcut by clicking Tab.
In Manager, it's your new default experience, designed to keep your workflow smooth and distraction-free. You can choose to see the timeline layer menu.
In Studio, the default layer view is the timeline as you know it today. However, you can switch to Layer List View when you want a cleaner workspace, or stick with the Timeline when animation is your focus. However you work, your editor just got a whole lot better.
