Switch between Layer List View & Timeline

Switch to Layer List View when building the ad structure, when animations aren't the focus - switch to the Timeline when starting to add and work with animation.

The way of working in Studio with your template vs your Creative Set in the Creative Editor is the same. The change is:

  • In Studio, the Timeline is still the default view.

  • In the Creative Editor in the Manager, the Layer List View is the default

How to choose between the layer menu works the same in Manager and in Studio.

  1. Open your Template in Studio og Creative Set in Manager

  2. Simply change between views by using the shortcut by clicking on the Tap button

  3. (or) Go to Settings in the upper right corner

  4. Look for the Alt menu - toggle on/off

  5. Switch between:

    • Timeline View – your current default with animation tracks.

    • Layer List View – a clean, vertical panel showing your layers without the timeline.

  6. Your preference is automatically saved – so next time you open Studio, it picks up right where you left off.

What does Layer List View show?

In Layer List View, your layer panel includes:

  • πŸ“„ Layer names – clearly listed in a vertical panel on the left

  • πŸ‘οΈ Visibility toggle – quickly hide or show layers

  • πŸ”’ Lock toggle – lock layers to avoid accidental edits

  • πŸ“‚ Nested/grouped structure – keep complex designs organised

  • πŸ”ƒ Drag & drop reorder – rearrange layers with ease

No animation bars. No time ruler. No keyframes. Just your layers, clean and simple.

Building up your ads, either as static or with animations added later, use the layer list view as a start. Now time for adding animations? β†’ Toggle on the Timeline.

FAQs

Will switching views affect my animations? Nope! Switching to Layer List View simply hides the timeline – it doesn't remove or change any animation data. Switch back to Timeline View anytime, and everything is intact.

Can I use Layer List View for animated banners, too? Absolutely. It's just a different way to navigate your layers. If you need to adjust timing, simply switch back to Timeline View.
