Want to display the right message, at the right time, to the right audience - without lifting a finger every time? Then DCO automation is your new best friend. With automation rules, you can control your creative output based on product data and campaign needs. Here’s how to set it up!
Step-by-Step: Create Rules for DCO Automation
Navigate to “Automation” for Display in the left side menu or click here.
Click "create new automation"
Select Data Source
The data source should be the same you have used in the template's you have produced. Otherwise those templates will not show.
Click “Create new rule”
Set your condition
Choose the field and value that should trigger the rule (e.g. If “Brand” is “0” or “Discount” greater than “20”).
Start by creating the "IF"-rule by clicking on "Add product filter".
Choose the field and value that should trigger the rule (e.g. If “Brand” is “XYZ” or product is “On Sale”.
The same ruleset, you can include more filters.
You can schedule your ruleset, meaning that you can plan ahead and be active in a time-specific period.
PRO TIP
Use “OR” logic to combine conditions for more flexibility - e.g. if stock = 0 OR price = 0.
Everything else
Everything else serves as a fallback design. Chose the template you want to use, when none of the above rules applies or are scheduled.
Save & apply to your DCO template
Click save, and your setup will now run automatically based on the live feed.
Sit back and let the system do the heavy lifting.
