Want to use your After Effects animation in Zuuvi as a Lottie file? Here’s how to go straight from AE to Zuuvi by exporting a .json file directly, skipping the Lottiefiles site entirely.

✨ Let’s get started

All you need is After Effects and the Bodymovin extension, which lets you export your animations as .json files. These files can then be used in Zuuvi like any other Lottie animation.

🔧 Step-by-step guide

  1. Install the Bodymovin Plugin

    • Download the extension and install it via Adobe’s Extension Manager or ZXP Installer.

    • Restart After Effects.

  2. Open Your Project in After Effects

    • Finalise your animation (keep it vector-based for best results - no raster images or effects unsupported by Lottie).

  3. Open Bodymovin

    • Go to Window > Extensions > Bodymovin.

  4. Choose Your Composition

    • In the Bodymovin panel, select the composition you want to export.

    • Click the gear icon next to the comp name to set your export folder.

  5. Export as JSON

    • Click the “Render” button in the Bodymovin panel.

    • This generates a .json file ready to be uploaded to Zuuvi.

  6. Upload to Zuuvi

    • Go to Zuuvi Studio.

    • Add a Lottie Element, and upload your newly created .json file.

And you’re done 🎉

Your After Effects masterpiece is now live and interactive in your Zuuvi template - no Lottiefiles.com account needed.
